Van Delivery

Green Hills AEA media vans will transport learning materials, written communications, lamination, printing, and equipment to buildings throughout our service area on a twice-a-week delivery schedule. Each piece of mail being sent on the van should be clearly marked with the name of the person to whom it is being sent, the school district and building name, and van route number. For more information, check out the Van Delivery page.

Digital Resources

Green Hills AEA is proud to provide a wide variety of digital resources for the schools in our service area. In addition to the statewide resources, GHAEA also provides Mystery Science for K-5 educators.

Print & Design/Creative Services

For Schools

In order to be more efficient and to offer schools a wider range of print, design, and specialty products, Green Hills is partnering with Heartland AEA. All school orders for copy, design or other products will go to Heartland AEA Creative Services via an online ordering system. Our Green Hills vans will continue to deliver completed orders to schools. Schools will have access to a more comprehensive set of print and design products.

Orders for lamination only will still be done at Green Hills AEA

Check out our digital storefront with Heartland AEA to browse products and place your order. Select “login” in the upper right corner. You will use the same username and password as you do for AEA Learning Online. Select the product that you want, and it will guide you through the process. Click here for a link to FAQ. You will have the ability to pay with a credit card or purchase order.

Cooperative Purchasing

AEA Cooperative Purchasing is formed under the Code of Iowa as a 28E entity and is an initiative of Iowa’s Area Education Agencies. The goal of AEA Purchasing is to combine the purchasing power of Iowa school districts to offer aggressive pricing on materials, goods, and services. In 2014 participating Iowa schools and AEA’s saved over $7 million on their purchases through the program. Participation in AEA Purchasing is without cost to Iowa’s schools in that it is funded by small fees paid by the vendors.

Copyright Considerations

Iowa’s Area Education Agencies have created an extensive, easy-to-use resource to help students and teachers understand copyright laws and the associated rights and responsibilities as users of copyrighted information. Two versions of Copyright BriefNotes are available to support students and teachers in virtual and physical classrooms. You are welcome to link these resources to your school website or LMS.

  • Copyright BriefNotes for Students – updated in 2022 and available in flipbook or PDF
  • Copyright BriefNotes for Students & Teachers – same content from the student version plus information that helps address copyright questions related to online and virtual learning environments, digital content, copyright permissions, and more. Available in flipbook or PDF.

Additionally, the AEAs have created a Copyright Decision Tree poster. This poster features a QR code to the flipbook version of Copyright BriefNotes for Students.
